Have you noticed that the price of butter has more than doubled during all these shenanigans, and you can only buy Emmenthal in slices now, I used to like that President's brand that comes in blocks, nice alternative when one becomes overly cheddared. I don't know what to expect now … I like a bit of Gruyerre but only in slabs not in blocks (take note Morrison's), hope drinking yoghurt stays affordable, especially strawberry flavour.

Roll back your foreskin and use the smeg cheese there. You sound like the whinging woman on QT moaning because there wouldn’t be anyone willing to turn up to work in the morning for £8 per hour in London as a barrista to put a swirl in her coffee. Modern day problems as opposed to being squeezed by freedom of movement and suppression of wages.

I do all of the shopping in this household but don't really notice the price for most goods but butter is one of the few that I do and it may have gone up from £1.60 to £1.80 a slab but no more than that

Food generally is still pretty cheap I reckon - yesterday in the Co-op you could get 3 chickens for a tenner - when I was a kid chicken was luxury.

The price of watching Jean Claude Van Damme movies has fallen though - so it all evens out.
