Why would they not? AWB was perhaps unfortunate, but there's a strong case for Trippier, Walker and Alexander-Arnold. Only 2 get picked, so 2 will always feel aggrieved.

I don't believe in Southgate as a manager either but he's having some serious good fortune with players... Mount, Madison & Winks are all exactly the profile of midfielder we have missed. Small, able to receive the ball and turn, and good vision, games built on passing and ball retention. Sancho looks a huge prospect, and I still have massive faith in Hudson-Odoi. He can be a world beater. Abrahams is growing week by week... People moan about Maguire & Stones, but with a season playing, ironing out their wrinkles...then there's Chillwell & TAA. Sterling's great...Kane is good...we can win the euros. We absolutely can. It's a shame Southgate is the boss, but he's probably also better suited to a national team than a club side. Sterling is great, kane is good? I would say Kane is better than good, definitely world class and i would say best striker in the world right now.

I do rate Kane very highly but for me he is just a tiny bit lacking in mobility to make him a great.

The set up of the Euro finals is interesting and certainly offers England a great chance of winning it. I appreciate they have defensive frailties and could improve in midfield, but on their day they are a match for anyone. Home advantage and a slice of good fortune and football could at last be coming home (odd as the final being at Wembley it would already be home).
