Agreed Who though, anyone got any ideas, because the last time we had decent link up play between midfield and attack it was RLC driving it and it’s the one area we have really struggled with since he went back to Chelsea.

Within our squad Eze or Riedwald would be decent ball players to provide service

They have just quoted Michael Bridge on Sky saying our business is done for this windon so he seems to be a squad replacement for Meyer.

If that’s the case then he’s definitely an upgrade seeing as Meyer wasn’t even playing! We can’t be too disappointed if this is the only business. There will be a lot of fans envious that we’ve managed to do anything in comparison their team, let alone bring in an exciting young striker. I think the door will remain open for the likes of Wickham and/or Sakho to go if suitable offers comes in.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, Gallagher would be a great prospect. But to give you a list of other names that can fit the criteria of linking midfield to attack that are similar across the attributes of RLC e.g. Price/Value, age (25), passing ability, dribbling, athleticism then in no particular order: Player / club / age / contract expiry 1. Florian Grillitsch, Hoffenheim, 25, June 22 2. Andre Gomes, Everton, 27, June 24 3. Bernard, Everton, 28, June 22 4. Felipe Anderson, West Ham, 28, June 22 5. Morgan Sanson, Marseille, 26, June 22 6. Ovie Ejaria, Reading, 23, June 24 7. Matheus Pereira, West Brom, 24, June 24 8. Luís Milla, Granada, 26, June 24 9. Wylan Cyprien, Parma, 25, June 21 (on loan might be made permanent) 10. Daichi Kamada, Frankfurt, 24, June 23 11. Vicenzo Grifo, Freiburg, 27, June 23 12. Christopher Nkunku (will actually probably be too expensive, and would also likely consider palace a downgrade from Leipzig but good age at 23)

£10m + Benteke offer made according to Sport Witness, who I have no idea whether they can be trusted or not. Benteke's agent says it's not happening though.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Christopher Nkunku (will actually probably be too expensive, and would also likely consider palace a downgrade from Leipzig but good age at 23) Thanks. I don’t really follow foreign leagues so can only really comment on those I have seen. Of those, I like Gomes and Pereira, but never been overly impressed by Bernard or Anderson. Don’t know anything about Ejaria but good age and obviously impressing in that league. Of course, buying established PL players is likely to always be more expensive than delving into the foreign leagues so whether we could afford any of these is a different matter. Maybe Pereira would be a good shout if WBA go down.

Over them £9 without Benteke and they may be interested lol Seriously Benteke can’t believe how easy it is with us he will never leave voluntarily. He gets a massive wage and does very little.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
