Good taste in music. I always loved 'I drove all night'. They've got his fricken hologram performing it nowadays. Not sure if I'm in awe or weirded out [Link]

Saw him live at Lewisham Odeon many moons ago.
It was a good show BUT he didn't hit any of the high notes live ,he sang lower notes instead...maybe he just had a day when his voice wasn't 100%

Touch my coffee and I will slap you so hard even Google won't be able to find you.

Lewisham Odeon. My parents drove me and my sister there from Erith to see 'Mary Poppins' when it first came out in the early 60s. Proper 'big screen' in those days! No idea why they didn't take us to a local cinema and no idea why this is relevant to the subject!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

You do realise, that most, if not all, of London 'yoof' understood what you just said.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Even though he wasn’t my era I’m a huge music fan and can appreciate how talented he was... He had a tragic life to bless him... His first wife was killed in a car accident then he lost two sons in a house fire... Tragedy few of us could understand really.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

That's the attitude. I never get why people limit themselves to music of the day, when there is a back catalogue and history of great tracks that nobody in their right mind would ignore.

I'm the same mate, the number of times I'd thought a legend of yesteryear is either alive or dead, and have guessed the wrong way is nobody's business..
