I want to take the boy to a Union Berlin game later this year. Any Berlin-based fans who understand how the ticketing works there?? Thanks in advance.

I'd happily watch Hertha although, from what I've read, Union seem much more like Palace and apparently the atmosphere there is mind blowing.

Anyway, the weekend I'm in Berlin (Oct. 19-20), Union are the only option as Hertha are away. Unfortunately, it seems it will be impossible to buy tickets. Small ground, stupidly over subscribed.

It's a real long shot, but if anyone knows a Union fan, can they point them to this post? I'll willingly swap 3 Palace-Man City tickets for 2 Union v Freiburg tickets.

Otherwise, it's gonna be a 70 minute train ride to Leipzig-- assuming I can score tickets for their game v Wolfsburg that is.

Does anybody here know the poster Berlinpalace? He posted before about Union Berlin and seems my only hope. Otherwise, we'll have to schlep all the way to Leipzig which is 70 mins away if we want to see a game (and we do).

Any tickets for what you are looking for on German ebay? Which is ebay.de

That's what I used when I wanted to watch a random Schalke home game several years ago (all Schalke's games were always sold out). Selling football tickets on there isn't illegal in Germany like it is here

The seller probably thought he was doing well getting the equivalent of 30 quid for a ticket worth about 12 quid, but it was an acceptable price to me for seeing a game in an amazing ground that I was in the vicinity of on the day

In terms of 'does anyone know' a Union fan, I know one. His name is Jon Darch, he is a Bristol City fan, but also has a season ticket for Union Berlin. He's the guy spearheading the safe standing campaign (rail seats)

You can find him on Twitter by looking for the username

@SafeStandingRS

He is a very active Union fan, so might be able to point you in the direction of where to get tickets, or know someone who has spares
