My ratings for today:

Guaita - 7 - not much thrown at him that was tricky, but took care of what was, and didn't put a foot wrong.

Ward - 7 - Played well. He's a much better header than AWB, also links up really well with Townsend.

Dann - 7 - Not too much to do, calm and composed. He's such a solid backup.

Kelly - 7 - same as Dann.

PVA - 7 (ok this is a trend) - One of his better games, played defence well and went forward creating attacks. Seems to be developing a better relationship with Meyer

McArthur - 6 (hah!) - solid game, but nothing to spectacular

Luka - 6 - gave the ball away a couple of times, but nothing shocking.

Meyer - 9 - One of his better games, he reminds me of Cabaye sometimes with his ability to see a pass before I do on TV. Scoring was a plus.

Townsend - 8 - All over the place (in a good way). Ran for the entire 90. Set up goals and generally had one of his better games.

Benteke - 8 - Actually ran around harassing people and made a nuisance of himself. Nice header for the goal.

Schlupp - 7 - I really like him playing forward. It plays to his strengths. He's not a great defender and is careless with the ball sometimes, so this is the position I would put him in.

Wickham - 7 - He's coming on strong. Really nice goal from a tough angle. If Benteke slips up or gets tired he'll be easily the next one in.

Ayew - 5 - Ran around a lot. Looked okay.

Sakho - 5 - Lost the ball in a dangerous area, but also moved forward nicely and threaded a good pass. Just good to see him out there.

Not enough info on the late subs, although Jairo looked slow.

Their defending looks absolutely terrible. Looks like Meyer had a good game.

I've only been able to see the highlights, but Meyer seems like he is producing some of the things we hoped he would do last season. I'm glad Schlupp was up top too, as I really don't rate him as a midfielder or a defender, but he is very quick, can win the ball in the air and has a good shot on him. However, this could be seen as a signal from Roy to say "Boss, we really need another striker" (if this is the case it probably didn't help that he scored!!)

Great result.

We are definitely going to finish top four now. Definitely.

Possibly top two.

Shame I was away from Bristol this weekend as haven't seen us win there for 5 games. Always been a bit of a graveyard for us in recent times. At least I will have some ammo to throw at the City fans at work. Nice build up and well taken Wickham goal at the end. COYP !!
