He's really a Tonwnsend level winger. Not as good as Zaha, but as good as Townsend, only right footed. He could deputize for Zaha at times.

Home grown, would occupy one of those places in the squad.

Supposedly, available for just 2 million. Was only on the bench for Celtic in the Champions League match. I thought he was the best player for Celtic in the last years.

Ok, a little regression, but still:
25 goals (6 penalties) and 13 assists in his first year at Celtic in 4000 minutes
17 goals (3 penalties) and 17 assists in the second one in 3700 minutes

18 goals (4 penalties) and 6 assists in his third season in 3500 minutes

[Link]

We remember him from England, he was at a good level. Man City paid a lot of money for him. Then he had 8 goals and 5 assists in one season for Swansea and 9 goals for Aston Villa.

2 million is just......like nothing these days.

If that price were true and the wages weren't disruptively high, it's a oui from me. Strictly as a squad player tho.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

As a squad player I think it's a reasonable suggestion, yes.

We need a little more depth out wide and he's played for the club and at this level.

Last season he seemed to be used more as an impact sub with good effect. Up here the quality of defenders varies from club to club (same as any league) as you would expect but he can only play (as they say) against what is put in front of him. From what I've seen he would be a steal under £4m as we could improve his wages without going mad. He won't be on £20k a week so could easily tempt him. At the very least he could be in the squad every match even as bench warmer but I would expect him to get on the park at least during a game on a regular basis. I don't follow Celtic up here but the online posts on the supporter websites would pretty much support my summary.

Nine championship players scored 20 or more (wikepedia great willo) and granted some not available but one of those was Dwight would you have him back.?

Past it.

We had him when he on the up, Villa had him when he was the down slope, hence his move from the PL to SPL.

He was pretty much at Townsend's level when he was in the Premier League too. It's been 3 years. He hasn;t forgotten football..

If I may give a personal opinion, he has progressed while at Celtic, found some inner confidence, he is even a better footballer now than 3 years ago.

Sure he wouldn't have the same numbers in the PL, but he would do fine, Albrighton or Townsend or Redmond level (all cost over 20 million).

It's a simple "price too good for what he offers".

Scottish league may not be Championship level, but it's close. It's not as bad as League One level either.

Celtic trashed Rosenborg of Norway in the Europa League last year and held ok against RB Leipzig of the German Bundesliga (3rd place). This means that the Scottish league is above the Norway league.

It was really bad a few years ago, but there's been some huge investment by Celtic (cause they had money from sales of van Dijk and Dembele and others) and they brought in some quality players. Which meant that those "average" players in Celtic went to other Scottish teams, like Aberdeen or Dundee. And those from there went to even lower level. And the league improved.

None of those 9 Championship players who scored more than 20 are available. And the only winger of them is Jarrod Bowen. Scott Sinclair is a WINGER, not a striker like Teemu Pukki, Neal Maupay, Tammy Abraham, Dwight Gayle, Che Adams.

And all of the above wouldn;t move for less than 20 million. Billy Sharp is 33 and he's promoted to the PL with Sheffield.

You could say that Jay Rodriguez is a winger, but from his 22 goals, 8 were just converted penalties. And he played 3900 minutes.

So who to get from the Championship?

I told you guys what a great prospect Harry Wilson was 1 year ago, when he was under 10 million. Now he's 21 years old and worth around 25 million, possibly with a chance to be involved in Liverpool's first team.

This year.....from the Championship only Kemar Roofe would be a decent addition as a 4th striker for around 5 million. Others are way to expensive.

Scott Sinclair has a really good price.

Looks great to me what a pity we are not in charge of transfers! Dougie Out, Matteo in!
