I reckon a decent replacement for AWB would help fans' and Roy's morale.

I think we have all the players lined up. We are just waiting to find out exactly what we are getting for Zaha before making official bids. Every scenario will depend on what we can get for him (And also if we dont sell him). We are just stuck in limbo in the meantime.

But we definitely know what we are going to get in each case. Still no need to panic...i hope...

We're a small club enjoying our greatest ever spell in the top tier. One day the 'dream' will end and the natural order will see us playing 2nd tier football again, our 'home'.
Things will never change until we relocate so just enjoy the moment for what it is

We are not a small club and there is no reason why we cannot continue is this league for good and relocating is not the way to go ..just rebuild keeping our name and character.

Without looking it up yes we played in the Intertoto Cup (Don't ask!!)
I have a feeling we played Trabsonzpor from Turkey and lost at Selhurst... I don't think it was over 2 legs as I have no memory of us playing them over there.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Palace played Samsunspor in the 1998 Intertoto Cup, losing both the home and away legs 0-2, 2-0.

I would say the Anglo-Italian cup was our glory in Europe.1971 we beat Inter Milan at the San Siro 2-1;
becoming the first english team to win there if my memory serves me right.
Bobby Tambling scored both our goals.
We took part again in 1973 & lost in the semifinal to Newcastle & lost over 2 legs 5-1, all the goals coming in the second leg up there.

I don’t think anyone really counts that, total waste of time and effort, if memory serves me right it was so early it couldn’t even be counted as pre-season warm ups

19 and 25 July, and I was merely responding to a post about those fixtures; I didn't make any comment about what "counts", so if you really feel the necessity to make comment about the validity or otherwise of the club's brief foray in a European competition, then address them to those who introduced the Intertoto to the discussion.
