Hoffenheim have confirmed that he is going to leave the club this window and Newcastle are the rumoured club. If he does go to Newcastle it’s a massive miss from us in my opinion, he is young and full of potential. Strong and skilful he scored 7 goals last season and assisted 7 in 26 appearances. As for price to be honest that’s probably the stickler. I can’t see him going for less than £25 million. Looking at Newcastle they look pretty terrible having lost Perez and Rondon among others, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go down, maybe we could pick him up on the cheap in a years time.

Have watched him when he played for Rapid Vienna. Wouldn't even buy him for 2,5 Mio. But I'm no expert ....... Good Luck, Newcastle, if they are really in for him.

Like Hannes said, he is very slow, even though young. Very tall. The price will be huge. Not sure if cut for the PL. Doesn't run much

Tall. I don't know where you got that mph observation. A link please. I'm not daying you're lying, but I have trouble understanding how he got a better result than Schulz, Reiss Nelson, Kasim Adams, Kaderabek, Brenet, Zuber or Kramaric, even just in training.

Here you go. From the Bundesliga official YouTube page claiming Joelinton’s top speed was 34kmh. On top of that, the Hoffenheim director of football commented when he was signed that ‘his speed and height is something you can’t coach’. Clearly his speed is a major strength of his game. Edited by coulsdoneagle (19 Jul 2019 12.36pm) I watched that and I didn't see any part about his speed. But ok. Nevertheless, a comparison of 12 matches or 870 between him and Firmino is laughable. 12 matches is by no means a relevant data frame. Oh, he scored 4 and Firmino scored 3 in his first 12 matches!! And it may very well turn out that Firmino scored 40 more and he scored 12 in the next 80 games ) Firmino, who by no means is a fast player (and I doubt he would do that well in the PL if he didn't play for a Top 6 all attacking team which needs his type of forward), is even so a lot more agile than Joelinton.

Try watching it again but slowly, 2:28 in to the video it shows his top speed when talking about his strengths.
