Very similar player to Mason Mount in my opinion, just without the 50 million price tag!!

Home grown by Arsenal, went to the Eredivisie to get playing time at the age of 19 Started in the Jupiler League and established himself for Willem Tilburg, played in the Eredivisie in the last year with success: 5 goals, 7 assists. 1 goal and 4 assists in Dutch Cup games too.

Plays pretty much what Max Meyer plays. Mostly an attacking midfielder, has played at times as central midfielder and, given his age and effort players at his age can sustain, I think he can cover quite well the deep lying playmaker position.

The fee is just so small. 0,7 million agreed between Birmingham and Willem. I would just pay Birmingham 1,5 million and get him. They'd make instant profit. Or at least just keep an eye on his development, he's one who I think will do good on the Championship, reaching even better numbers by the time he turns 23.

To compare his level, just see who provided more than 7 assists in the Eredivisie last year:

You have players like Ziyech, Tadic, Bergwin, Lozano, David Neres, van de Beek, worth more than 40 million, who can't come here.

Then there's Angelico, the left back from PSV, who came back to Man City this summer and will fight it off for a starting position. Odegaard, the youngster from Real Madrid, a 30 year old Moroccan and a few other wingers, all older than Dan Crowley.

Given that he could occupy a home grown position, he's at leat interesting to watch.

Was actually home grown by villa until arsenal poached him. Was a massive prospect at arsenal.

Crowley earned a negative reputation in England because of issues with his professionalism at both Oxford Utd and Barnsley.Managers in England didn't like what they had heard and consequently felt they couldn't trust him, hence he went to the Netherlands to further his career.

He is certainly technically gifted and can play that vital killer pass.

I'm pretty certain Ian Wright said he was going to be better than Jack Wilshere when he was about 16 years old and I remember Adrian Durham waxing lyrical about him too.

Read into that what you will.

Quite a low bar! Most prem midfielders are better than Wilshere.

Vive le Roy!

Played very well for Willem II last season here and was highly rated. No issues with his attitude according the manager Adrie Koster, even after being left out for the Dutch Cup final.

Wish we would have gone for Alexander Isak from Willem II though. He looked pure class and I was very surprised Dortmund, who owned him, did not take him back. Gone to Sociedad for a mere 10m.

A mere 6 million actually. That's how you make a transfer window! Check out my other thread, "European transfers by mid July", you'll find some more interesting things
