Only 28, on a free.

He looked talented when in the prem and he played for Fulham.

He played 31 games for Hamburg last season with 5 goals & 4 assists.

Shoot me down if you want, but whether we like it or not we aren't going to be splashing loads this window.

I have not see the left-footed Holtby play for quite a while but he impressed me when he was playing in this country.I recall him as a player with a high workrate who pressed defenders and showed a real desire.Had pace and real energy. It was Rene Meulensteen who signed him for Fulham on loan from Tottenham.

As a squad player, if his wages aren't too high and on a free, a good signing IMO. Solid player, used to playing in big leagues and never struck me as a trouble maker.

A must in my opinion. He can cover for 4-5 positions: central midfielder (Cabaye role), attacking misfielder, left midfielder, right misfielder, second striker.

I'd have paid more than 5 million for him. Imagine being out of contract and not getting him!

His demands would be Germany-level, not that big for a PL team.

If just let the Chairman know.

Free transfer and would be a decent squad player... Parish loves a freebie so should be all over this.

Maybe Freedman has never heard of him tho.

Agreed. Always liked the look of him. Didn't he play for Spurs and was heralded as a future England International but chose to play for Germany?
