'Our Friends' was very good, Porridge is one of the best British comedies.

Years and Years is just thinly veiled Lefty propaganda.

The first season of 'True Detective'.
The first two seasons of 'Fargo'.
The first season of 'Viking'......the subsequent seasons were varying degrees of pap in comparison.
'Dexter'.....though it suffered from the old 'rinse and repeat' ideas as it went on.
'Deadwood'.......pure political incorrectness.

I've practically bought all the old BBC comedies and a few ITV ones from back in the day when British TV comedy was actually funny.

I'd forgotten about that one. The Wild West as it probably really was like

Welcome back Stirling.

I think that is a little unfair. Certainly, the show lost a bit of sparkle when a certain character departed. (No spoilers) but it has been consistently entertaining.
It does need to end after series 6.

Yep, probably closer than most depictions.

Tips hat.

I'd agree that it's been worth a watch compared to most...I was just blown away by season one.

Like most successes....it gets milked until the udders are as flat as East Anglia.

I've Really enjoyed 'Into the Badlands'.
The first season was good, kinda like Max Max meets Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon! but it went epic when Nick Frost joined the Cast in season 2.

Some of the DC Superhero Netflix series is a must watch: Daredevil And The Punisher were both excellent.

for older stuff, cant beat the offbeat craziness of Twin Peaks

then there's
Battlestar Galactica,
Firefly

Brilliant series. Seems more realistic the more time goes by.
At a different pace Northern Exposure is enjoyable in a gentler way. Great characters and it could get quite surreal at times.
