So he has a precious which is the ring. Mine is beer and fags and my clear inability to understand half of what you lot write Wisbech is the hammer and sickle. Chrisgc, hrolf and sterling is the st George's flag. And Tom's is a female with a pulse. All banter but what is or are your precious or friends or family with a precious which might drive you bonkers. Family as precious is too easy so that's excluded. Just trying to have a thread which we can all join in without all the fire (hopefully)

In all seriousness, I'm passionate about a charity at the John Radcliffe related to providing support through research, training and equipment for neonatal babies and their families. I've raised £3.5k since April and I am hoping to hit a 6.7k target by next April to provide a secure communications app for fathers to be able to stay up to date via video/ secure chats with doctors if say they're in Glasgow or wherever working/living and their baby has been transferred to Oxford for specialist care and they can't make it. Like a fancy, more interactive WhatsApp. I've organised a charity clay shoot, music festival and T20 cricket outing this summer which should smash the target. I don't usually share this sort of personal bollox, but there you go. I'm not just an anti Hodgson, pro British, Trump loving arsehole who would jump on someone's head in a tear up.

In all seriousness, I'm passionate about a charity at the John Radcliffe related to providing support through research, training and equipment for neonatal babies and their families.

I've raised £3.5k since April and I am hoping to hit a 6.7k target by next April to provide a secure communications app for fathers to be able to stay up to date via video/ secure chats with doctors if say they're in Glasgow or wherever working/living and their baby has been transferred to Oxford for specialist care and they can't make it. Like a fancy, more interactive WhatsApp.

I've organised a charity clay shoot, music festival and T20 cricket outing this summer which should smash the target.

I don't usually share this sort of personal bollox, but there you go. I'm not just an anti Hodgson, pro British, Trump loving arsehole who would jump on someone's head in a tear up.

My daughter was 13 weeks prem, weighed just over 2 Pounds and spent 11 weeks in SCBU at Mayday, which was outstanding. So this also is close to my heart.

My wife's a neonatal nurse and although we didn't suffer premature births with ours, the births were difficult with hospital stays thereafter.

Given her job, (she specialises in transport between hospitals and withdrawal of care, can you imagine?) It's always close to home. The girls on the unit are brilliant and put up with a lot of s*** that I couldn't. I couldn't imagine being hundreds of miles away from my child, unable to be present because of work/ nowhere to stay. This app is life changing.

I hope your children are ok after their difficult start. My daughter has an almost indiscernible flattening on one side of her head where she lay on her side and nose bleeds we put down to all the tubes. Otherwise mercifully seems intact. I have seen many aspects of medicine but never as relentlessly efficient as Mayday SCBU. Well worth the private financial support it receives. Hopefully the same applies to John Radcliffe.
