apparently upset because Gomes has ousted him, could be a partner for Luka or even a replacement if we can't tie our captain down to a new contract - he's another defensive midfielder but his distribution may be better than what we have already, certainly on his Southampton form but maybe not thereafter.

Only made 16 appearances last season under Marco Silva.

He got a lot of stick off Everton fans for being useless. Maybe it was a case of the wrong team, but he doesn't seem to have done that well since leaving Saints. Not for me.
