On loan from Chelsea says he is a wing back although not sure if it a replacement for AWB or PVA.

I recall Aina playing for Hull on loan, where he was signed by erstwhile manager Leonid Slutsky. He played at centre-half and also as a winger in the Chelsea U21 team but played at right-back at Hull.Looked comfortable with the ball in defence and a good 1 v 1 defender.Has a long throw in his armoury.

According to the link we've had a bid accepted for £6m don't know if that's true but sounds good business if it is and nice to start our transfer activity early.

Can play both full-back positions, but he is right-footed (and started his career as a right-winger). Hopefully just wanted as a versatile player rather than a replacement for AWB...

Also remember Aina being on loan at Hull. Could well be a very astute signing if all goes through either on loan or a permanent

Marcos Alonso is leaving Chelsea, and they have a transfer ban, so they might not want to sell. Mind you they probably have another 20 full backs out on loan. Edited by alffy (31 May 2019 2.46pm)
