He's already had a testimonial and at least two contract extensions too many. Showed at Anfield that he's not up to it any more. More to the point if Hodgson gave a few youngsters some game time - e.g. Flanagan, Daly, Dreher. What has he done to make you dislike him so much?

Liverpool game was his first game in such a long while - he made up for that with an excellent display and clean sheet after that in the game against Spurs By definition as a 3rd choice keeper you will ‘not have played for a while’. I love Jules but that Liverpool error was proper Sunday league. Embarrassing. Time to move on.

I don't think we'll sign Perri, has only been playing for the U23s so doesn't have the calibre to be No.2 yet Where else do you think he can play? We only have the U23 team (aka development side) as there are no reserves any more.

What I think is that this won't happen. There is very little room for sentiment in the game. Remember we gave Paddy McCarthy 2 one season contracts without including him in the squad out of some sense of loyalty. Parish is all about sentiment and nostalgia.

I would keep him on a wage of something like 10k, at the moment he's on something like 20k. At half that he's excellent value for another year IMO. Help both Guaita and Perri settle, good in training, almost like a second GK coach anyway. But the money has to be right, we're looking to trim the wage bill which is ranked way higher than our position in the table.

We pay a lot of money to mediocre players. Meyer, Zaha and Bentekkers are on 100k plus a week. Wickham on 50. Time to hit the reset button.

Looking at our accounts we know money is not going to be in abundance this summer unless we sell Zaha or AWB. On that basis I don’t think we need to look at changing our keepers. Perri is fine as a third keeper and we either negotiate another years loan for him or if we really rate him then buy him, he shouldn’t be horrendously expensive. Guaita is in my opinion as good as Butland and we certainly would get nowhere near the £30m they want for Butland by selling either Hennessey or Guaita, so I think we should be concentrating on the 3 important positions of left back, creative midfielder and striker.

I largely agree with this. Why buy Butland? No better than Guaita. Guaita is fine in goal but we will be short in other areas.
