There appears to be a push back both in and outside of sport to keep womens sport, women only, for want of a better word. In some sports trans women would have an unfair advantage, and in others their participation may be dangerous. I do agree with you in so much that there might be a period of time where they are feeling their way so to speak. I believe that a Male to female fought in MMA a while ago, but if anything that type of event will solidify views against.

Paula Radcliffe is speaking out against Trans people in women's sport. She is a brave lady as this seems to be a very loud pressure group so no doubt she is getting pelters. Next week Caster Semenya brings her case to court as she does not want to reduce her testosterone levels. Just to make it more complicated Caster is not a Trans person but a person who was born with both sets of bits and pieces I think they call that Intersex. Paula feels if Trans people can compete without adjusting their testosterone levels it is game over for professional women's sport and I tend to agree with her. In a previous post I said this really impacts women's sport far more then men and whilst I have sympathy with Trans people it does seem an unfair advantage. I am glad I won't be the one unpicking this Gordian knot.

I am glad I won't be the one unpicking this Gordian knot. I read somewhere that the body development post puberty is permanent and that's where the advantage lies - testosterone was not the answer. A bit like Sharron Davies and Kathy Cook competing against East Germans

It takes a special kind of weirdo to believe that someone born a male can magically become female or vice versa. The rules of biology are, I believe, quite clear on this. This whole thing is collective mental illness.
