The 2nd for Spurs he attempted to pass the ball 3 times in the space of 10 seconds without once hitting his target. Wilf twice and then a cross field pass that did not even lift of the ground. Awful.

Edit: Wilf was a yard away from him on both occasions..

Indeed, was a laughable 10 seconds from him. Was like he was trying to give them the ball.

Just not necessarily in the right direction......

He is impotent in front of goal, but flick on and knock downs, he can still deliver.

You dont play Benteke for goals, Hodgson has overseen his total demise as a goal threat.

But if you are going to play long ball, play a player who can work in that system.

Roy loves his square pegs in round holes so he can play his favourites, even when desperately out of form.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Given how much all those teams have spent, especially compared to us, we’re not doing as badly as some would make out.

Yes exactly

A pitiful performance at Spurs we made them look world beaters.

Better get fired up for the Geordies or we will get stuffed.

I was there last night but reading some strong discussions on this thread, some clearly were not there.
Im a Palace supporter for 50 years and Ive seen many many games.
Right now we have a negative manager with very negative tactics and if you study the body language of players "in play" you will see this in their characters.
So is it all about negative football now so we stay in Premier League. We were awful at Wolves yet we won 2-0.
Do you want better attitudes on the pitch - yes I do.
Lets the players break free!!
Last night Spurs players were desperate to be the 1st to score, they were anxious, over doing things and diving (Ali should have been sent off!) They were ripe to be attacked (with football) yet we stood off.
Two mistakes from side passing....led to goals
Hodgson- thank you for what you did last season and got us 36 points this season, which still isn't enough to be safe...please retire.
And also Ray, you are working out what to do during the matches too.. so why with two wise head cant give us some thing to cheers about....
Please I want more next season,, we can do it.... otherwise we favs to be relegated as I can see no improvements with our current management team
Impressive stadium, why couldnt we be impressive too!!

Brilliant post.
Kouyate's arms flapped a couple of times and Schlupp looked on autopilot. I think it's starting to turn.

Totally agree that we were too passive last night. To quote PVA '' showed Spurs too much respect ''.

But our team is most effective on the counter attack. Trying to take the game to the likes of Spurs and the quality they have would be asking for trouble. Passing and ball retention last night was poor. Spurs play a high pressing game that we found difficult to cope with.

Yes, Hodgson should have made a double sub at 0-1 as really the game looked beyond us at that point anyway so why not have a go...but that does look like an inherent problem with him.

I'm interested to know why you think we would be favourites to be relegated next season when it's possible that Bournemouth, Newcastle, Brighton, Burnley and Southampton could finish below us this season.

You must be delighted. Congratulations
