In recent weeks I’ve become very anti VAR. The decision to award Man Utd a penalty was madness. In the Ajax and Barcelona games, there were unnecessary reviews which took 4 minutes to confirm the goals. It’s slowing down the game and momentum and it seems every crucial decision is being over reviewed. It will help Palace vs Watford, simply because Zaha should win about 40% more penalties than he does. Even though it helps Palace, I’m against it. Ruining our game. Refereeing injustice is part of the drama in football. The technology is not being used effectively.

Do you not think players turn their backs to make themselves bigger purposely then? it almost worked didn't it ..it is cheating and it was a clear penalty. Refs don't dish out injustice, they are fooled by dramatics.

I have seen various post match analysis of the incident and no one seems to agree it was a penalty and to be perfectly frank, virtually everyone seems think the total opposite and are astounded and appalled that it was given as a penalty. As was said at the time, it is unlikely that anyone who has ever played the game would consider that to be a penalty, let alone a clear one! The fact that you also think the second RMA goal in their game at Levante was also a penalty tells me that you are either just on a complete wind up or would be potentially the worst referee the game has ever seen

No one wants a shot to hit them in the bollocks/stomach/face. I agree they are fooled by dramatics, it’s cheating by players and needs to be stamped out. As I said on the previous VAR thread, a better solution for this would be to actually enforce the retrospective diving bans. We see dives go unpunished every week on MOTD. VAR was introduced to avoid referee clangers. This can be achieved by giving captains 1 review per game. If their review is correct, it’s reinstated. This would stop every bloody incident being reviewed for 3/4 minutes and would keep the game flowing.
