Well he did really - or rather the lack of VAR didn't help Brighton's cause.

Sadly for Millwall their goalie threw one in the net in the last minute.

All to play for now...

Before today's game, Martin had only played 1 game this season, in Millwall's last game a 2-0 win at Birmingham.

Goalkeeping duties at Millwall this season have largely been shared between Jordan Archer and the on-loan Ben Amos.

We now get to play Spurs in inaugural game at their new stadium.
Yes, not the same as a FA cup semi final but trying to put some gloss on this week!

A possible plus now The Weed are in the semis is that it means they have another game that has to be re-arranged and played midweek adding to their fixture backlog.

Let's also hope they suffer a humiliating and demoralising defeat at the hands of City.

Tonight in a local pub I had a contretemps with some temulant Brighton supporters who attended the game.

My dear wife was not best pleased with the use of the "F" word in her vicinity and I told them in no uncertain terms to "Button it" else I would take the law into my own hands, adding that I was a proud Palace supporter and that their 'Reward' for their win was an encounter with Man C and an inevitable defeat.

I added that I would think of them as they left Wembley at the end of the game sobbing in their beer.Received an apology and certainly NO opprobrium whatsoever against 'Yours Truly' or against our team. They were wet handkerchiefs made flesh and bone.

Whilst my wife was grateful for me challenging them on their abhorrent language she was not best pleased by my aggressive intent against them.I might be 66 but I am 'North' of 6 feet and not exactly a 'Slim Jim' or a shrinking violet. She felt that I would have had a different attitude if they were Palace supporters !

A lot of the time it is hot air. Crossing the bridge from one platform to another at East Croydon last week I found myself surrounded by a gang of about 30 or so Weed fans all shouting, singing and swearing. I was bedecked in my Palace scarf and was slightly perturbed, but they ignored me. Just as well as I would have been in no position to take the lot of them on even if I shared a similar build to your good self (which I don't)!
