Got a genuine gut feeling this is going to be a sh!t game for us and we'll lose by 1 or 2.

Not that I think it justifies last week, but you never know our players might want to atone for what was the worst palace performance since Sunderland or Huddersfield at home for me. Would certainly recapture my passion if they came out with a blinder and it is possible,

At the moment however I feel like we have drifted into a team of loanees, journeyman, others looking beyond CPFC and those who quite simply just don't care that much. As mentioned initially, can see this being another weak game for us and we can get back to concentrate on being relegation candidates and limping through to another PL season.

Pretty much sums up how I feel at the moment. Even if we win, doesn't excuse our poor home performances.

We will need someone up front who can complete with there big defenders . That means , if fit , Big Ben he can head a ball hold up play whereas The Batman does not like messing up his hair style and can't hold up play

I wouldn't say Mariappa (as you might well know!) is that tall but is good in the air so fair point.

YES we need to give this match everything!!
Keep Ward ready on the bench or replace him for VanHolt. I believe this man while not a left back was with us in the Champs like Wilf and has a passion for Palace unlike others who joined since...AWB has it mind you!!
On the pitch tomorrow will be a war zone, with both team needing to win and high chance of a sending off or two. Early goals against them with "quieten" the crowd but they never give up. Should be playing the dvd reminder when Palace never gave up at home, when at the death won 2-1.
This will be a proper ninety minute match!!

Yes last weekend was not the modern derby for the Palace, but Watford is !!!(within the M25 battle), media wanted it to be for the Palace against the Brighton, but had this game not been in their minds against 1/4 final v Watford, then last weekend, I very sure we would have seen a different game/effort last week.
Watford is a our current Derby and ever since 2013 and then 2016, they so want to beat us....and for reasons hate Wilf!!
Remember back when our players, before they went out to play Liverpool in the SF 1990, they were reminded how it hurt to loose 9-0 that season and you know what happened next (its my all time top match!) we won 4-3.

You know how its hurts to be beaten by man moan utd in two finals, and how we so want revenge in another cup final, well Watford hold that painful edge against us in the those Wembley games, that physiological pain edge over palace!
So how do we get one ourselves over them. we have lost both matches against them this season as we did back against Liverpool in 89/90!
Remember Palace the pain when we lost so badly at home against Watford in the champs playoffs SF.
Remember the pain so now is all the "gain!" in this match.

For Palace players, who is good and c/would play in any top team and be challenging for champs or cup finals or Europe of playing for England today?? So a chance of a cup final will mean a lot to players, so Im sure its why they didn't give their all last weekend, yes they might get paid a lot but people want to win finals. Ask why it meant so much to Wigan players winning the cup final yet getting relegated.... they are all remembered as cup final winners!!! Ask Jim Mc and all those players who soon left Wigan!!

So im expecting and demanding every player gives 200% on the pitch tomorrow. 50 years ago we won promotion to the top division "at the time "First Division" in 1969 and I want to win it big this year!!
Come on you Eagles "Lets fly!"
Take a chance with BIG man with Bat up front....
Take a chance and be creative with Meyer or play same game as at Burnley & Leicester and hope they dont score when on top!!, (well we know RH only has one plan a!)
And remember J Ward pain at missing the equalizer at Watford, early this season, if in doubt and we havent used all our subs, send him up front, because he goes in where it hurts!! (great goal against Man utd this seaon!!)

its about winning and I will be there to see us WIN!!!
be lucky palace, every shot is a goal!!

Do people think we should play our strongest team against Watford?
We don’t have a league game again for a few weeks because of the international break.
I think we should go for it and include AWB, Tomkins and Zaha.
Watford rested Deeney and Delofeu at the weekend and will be going all out for a semi final place.
They play a solid 4 in midfield and compete all over the field so we need to match them with no more Luka, Mcarthur and Schlupp combination in midfield or we’ll be overrun.
Ward struggles against Pereira which is why AWB should play and I’m not sure how Kelly would compete against Deeney.

Is this a serious question?

This is the Quarter Final of the FA Cup - a cup competition that c.700 clubs enter every year - we are now in the last 8..!!

Of course we play our best team, if we win this would eclipse any other honour we have ever achieved..!!

We have a serious chance, we owe Watford one, then could be Brighton in the semi - put right the 2 previous debacles this season, then Utd in the Final put right 1990 and 2016 finals..!!

In the League we have 33 points, Huddersfield at home up next, win that takes us to 36 points, with 7 games to go. Cardiff ain't getting to 36 points - stop wetting yourselves..!!

Team;

Guaita
AWB, Tomkins, Dann, PVA
Milo, Kouyate, Schlupp
Townsend, Batshuayi, Zaha

3-1 to the mighty Palace.

Job done bring on Brighton in the semis..!!

COYP

I am depressed beyond words about Brighton doing the double over us, moreso about how Luka took a kicking without even a whimper. It's weighed on me all week and I worry that our boys are too soft for these s***house thugs and are going to be the victim of an embarrassing triple.

Given all of this, if we win, it'll be one of the best victories I've ever experienced and I would give anything for it.

Tomorrow is our entire season as far as I'm concerned.

But Luka could have been sent off and would miss the Watford match?? What good would that be, hence that would have been on their minds late weekend!!

I agree entirely. I don’t feel confident. God help us if we ever drop to the championship. Just not robust enough. Lacking a Jim Cannon type

I’m hoping these lacklustre performances have been because our players have one eye on the cup and are gonna be suitably fired up for it.

Love this line up. However can easily see Roy revert to type with PVA and JMac involved. Know that this lot are going to battle and bruise us so as you say we really need to be ready for this with some toughness and get stuck in. Like the rest will be annoyed if we are not set up to tackle this, like last week. COYP !!

Damn right we should play our strongest team.

A win today and we are at Wembley!
