I think he's our best current choice but I completely agree he's not a true leader of men. it's a quiet team, lacking grit.

Where was he when Zaha went mental at Southampton? Tough being a captain but keeping tempers cooled is one of the main requisites. If he'd jumped straight in and ushered Zaha away might have saved a red card and two match ban.

I'm not sure there are many teams in the league with a genuine old school leader anymore. Vincent Kompany at a push, outside of that I can't think of anyone that comes across as a real leader.

I’m not sure I’d count any of those as real leaders. Noble at a push but when I think of the best captains of the last few years none of them would come close. Passion isn’t my definition of a captain. Viera, Keane, Terry are the last few real leaders/captains of the last decade. There’s no one like that in the game really anymore. Leaders set the standard, inspire those around them and have inner strength to pick everyone up around them when the chips are down. I certainly wouldn’t put Dunk in that category.
