Agreed.
Wardy had a poor first 15, then good.
Dann was a monster today, won every header,
Kelly solid,
Luka great play,
ayew ran around and harassed them all game, made a few mistakes, but I thought did well,
baty looks like he needs a bit more playing time,
Meyer really does well with the ball, occasionally makes a bad pass or runs into 4 players, but generally is good. Reminds me of cabaye, can control the ball and see passes before I see them on tv.
Hennessy looked like the pitch didn’t help him, but no major f ups
Pva silent
Schlupp, I’m not the biggest fan, as he tends to have periods of turning the ball over, but played well
Townsend solid.

Subs - koyate did very well, jimmy Mac solid, benteke looked awful, didn’t even win headers

As much as I agree with your thoughts on the back four I wasn’t happy with their distribution to the midfield or forwards. PVA being the exception. The big hof downfield was the main ball from defence and that may be down to Doncaster chasing the defender down as soon as he got it? The normal back four play a better passing game than those yesterday but I cannot fault Dann, Kelly or Ward for defensive work especially in the air.

The state of the pitch (compared to what we are used to playing on) also could well have been a contributing factor. Very long and rather tufty looking grass, rather than the bowling green finish of SP & other Prem grounds does not bode well for a push and run style.

Guys before Sunday I honestly thought you were the bes/noisiest set of away fans to visit the Keepmoat, you managed to surpass that and made for a cracking atmosphere. I don’t think there was an ounce of trouble either.
No complaints about the result the best team won and I always felt that you could go up a couple of gears if needed.
Best of luck your name could be on the cup this year
Thanks again for adding to atmosphere you’re a credit to your club

What a brilliant post. Thank you so much for bothering. You could always come to the occasional game at SP.

Cheers fella.

Very decent of you to say so.

Your fans/team aren't so bad themselves!

Have a great end to the season.

That’s kind of you to post that, we had a great day ( not just the result) but you have great facilities and modern ground the turnstile operators and stewards were really friendly and like you say no trouble, I would be surprised if anyone was arrested on the day.
Hope your season ends well perhaps a trip to Wembley!

Cheers Roversdude.

Can add that an old boy in the home section made a big point of clapping us at the end of the game. Not many would do that so it makes me proud to be Palace.

Oddest shout of the day though came from home fans as we walked back through the industrial estate, taunting us with comments about going back to our bedsits!
