We play every game like we are playing Barcelona, alright against the top teams but not the rest, We are the most underachieving team premiership you cant play counter attack all the time, Hodgsons negativity and lack of creativity may cost us
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Why cannot Roy see what everyone else can see - that Ayew (1 offside goal in 16 games) is not the answer? If CB and CW aren't 100% fit, then alternate between the two starting with the other coming on after an hour until they are match-fit. Also, that's 3 league games in a row where we've been ahead at the break but not gone onto win - in fact we've only taken 1 point from those 3 games. His half-time talks must be appalling.

Just go to Saints forum and read what they thought... every other post there's someone saying that Roy masterminded their manager, nullifying them and deserving to win... You have to give Roy some credit that he probably did set up correctly. By leaving Zaha and Townsend wide and attacking their 3 centre backs. We were the better team for the first 45 mins and got in a position to win the game...HOWEVER...it is his inability to make changes during the game that is pissing everybody off. Saints changed to a back 4 and started to get more possession. We continued to lump it forward only to see the ball come straight back towards us. Everyone can see we needed to bring on either Wickham or Benteke to hold it up and some fresh legs in the middle to do some chasing. I reckon we could easily have another 6-8 points this season if we would make subs instead of waiting until we concede.

Maybe he doesn’t bring the player fans think he should, but this has been the case for Palace managers for years, as all fans think they know better.

Hang on pitch side, it bl..dy clear Ayew was shattered and lumping balls up to him.. why do think their tall defender was taken off and replaced, he never believe we would sub Ayew.. and then they score! Originally posted by taylors lovechild
We played really well for the first hour, which was down to Roy and his tactics and team selection. You can't just ignore that. However, I agree that he just doesn't seem to know how to effectively use his bench. Maybe Ayew didn't look so knackered from pitch side? Schlupp had an impact at Spurs, so I suppose that's why Roy picked him again. Lewington is a fan too, according to the commentator last night. Me, I just don't get it.

If Hodgson does with Scuopp (as per tannoy at Soutampton), Ive lost total faith in him...... We played a match with Ayew on wing, Sorloth in middle and Townsend on wing, cant recall which match but it was best I saw Sorloth play, becuase then we played to his strengths!! Do people think Hodgson will play a front three of Schlupp, Ayew and Townsend against Fulham?

Regardless of how the game is going. Usually it’s just after we’ve conceded an equaliser or gone behind.

He took off CK our holding midfielder for Schlupp they score. Leave JA on no target man up front to hold the ball up. Leave Wilf on to get the s*** kicked out of him. Use the bench ffs

Use the bench ffs Clutching here, can you imagine the outrage if Wilf would have been taken off. I agree with the holding up part but to be fair to Ayew, throughout the game he was nicking the ball of the CBs especially in the 2nd half, we'd break against their back line but we were so wasteful in these positions - we could never find that final pass. Something that last year RLC was great at or something Meyer can maybe do.
