What are they supposed to be? Flats? One flat per floor, or carparks? Three cars per floor?

Never seen such thin tall buildings.

Lol - they are the lift shafts. The rest will be built around them.

We don't have skyscrapers in Switzerland so when I saw them at the watford game I couldn't work it out.

Isn't that how they make mountains? Start with the ski-lift then build around it

A 68-storey skyscraper in Croydon – meaning the London borough will play host to the UK’s second tallest building.

The complex, named One Lansdowne Road, will contain both the gargantuan 228m tower and slightly smaller 41-storey, 140.3m ’twin’. The structures will be mixed-use with 798 flats (170 of which will be ‘affordable’ two-bedroom apartments), along with 35,000 sq ft of offices, bars and restaurants.

The building will be the UK's second tallest skyscraper behind The Shard, which is also in London.

By the time it completes, I’d be surprised if it’s still the second tallest - there’s a number of new residential buildings in Canary Wharf which are planned to be over 70 floors, and they’re already well on their way up.

depends on the weather.
and brown envelopes, the polish guys not going home, the local builders being prepared to work for the same £, the local café doing a decent bacon sarnie(man hours lost driving elsewhere for nosh can be shocking)
the portaloo not having a mirror in it,a decent local pub, and the promise of a topping off drink, plus no fights on sight, the daily sport being banned(w*** breaks are another terrible strain as tom the eagle will confirm)no interference from the left middle or right & the greens not backing a vegan protest regarding the amount of meat (in the un pumped portaloo)roberstons jam not considering reviewing their old monika and the UKs stock of salad cream withstandind any faux Brexit threat.
look at the westfield debacle.
