Just stumbled across this which I thought may be of interest. They've ranked the 11 teams who have been present in the Premier League for the last 5 season based on how much each side has spent per point obtained, effectively showing who is getting the most value from their transfers. I clicked on it expecting us to have had quite a poor return so was surprised to see that we're actually second, with only Spurs having done better.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

I'm impressed that we're just one of 11 of the ever-presents

I've seen many matches since 1972 in which we couldn't buy a point. Or a goal for that matter.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Ad-blocker etc aint letting me see the article but any chance anyone can post the list? Wonder if the list etc will highlight a disparity between us as fans always wanting more and thinking we know better and the club themselves. Our perception is we are not doing too well in the transfer market but our perspective is hardly removed.

Good article. We are clearly the smallest club (in terms of both stature and stadium size) out of those 11 teams too. Goes to show how impressive our run in the premiership has been. Only Leicester have been in the premiership shorter than us out of that list too.
