We are in midfield but like you struggle up front tbh so probably will be an open game but not too many goals.

Foster has been in pretty decent form and saved us a few times as he did in the game at our place with 2 very good saves early on.

Couldn’t agree more, never understood the Brighton thing but there has always been a lot of spice in Watford matches. I badly want to win this one.

The Brighton thing is something you really should know...

Paul Tierney, 38, from Wigan.

His last match at Selhurst Park was the 2-1 defeat v Swansea on January 3, 2017.

Earlier this season, he was in the middle for our 1-0 defeat at M’ Boro.

He’s piss poor this guy....

According to the Guardian today, Deeney is supposed to have admitted on BBC radio that Watford take turns in fouling Zaha to minimise the risk of bookings.

I think Deeney actually enjoys being the villain and seems to play better away from home with the home fans giving him stick...

Sort of gives him that incentive to keep the fans quiet although with our record against you guys at Selhurst Park might be more tricky than usual!

Anyway going from the comments on your other site think Caopue is the one who is going to be in for a rough time which doesn't surprise me!

Understand Zaha hasn't scored for a whille - probably get one Saturday then.

Recommend everyone reads the excellent article in the Guardian. Luka should just hand a copy to the ref with Deeney's comments highlighted.
Personally would have liked a more experienced ref but they are all s***

I'm sure all the refs are now fully aware of what was mentioned in the tabloids, Watford have shot themselves in the foot for this one.

If it's any consolation I agree with you. To put the history in a nutshell it was caused by two footballers who both played for Spurs and hated each other. After retirement they subsequently became managers of Palace and Brighton respectively and continued their niggling at each other.

The fans of both clubs behaved like devoted footsoldiers and lined up behind their manager to declare war on the other club for all eternity

Rivalry actually started in the 1940s and 1950s!

It all came to a head in the 1975–76 season when Brighton were managed by Peter Taylor (Brian Clough's mate) and us by Malcolm Allison when at Brighton their fans started singing '‎Seagulls' instead of 'Dolphines'.....
[Link]

so now, scroll down and take a look at this third division table and you will find the two clubs together..

[Link]

..and again 76-77 season, both win promotion so you can understand what the fans are feeling about each other!

[Link]

..in this table you can see Brighton were very close and it was very very funny for us fans!

[Link]

..and to make it worse the following season we pipped them in the final game for top place!!

[Link]

It wasn't just the managers that caused the rivalry.
