This one is comedy.

The time for us to sign someone like Piatek was when he left Poland for under 4 million euros.

If we had a half decent scouting organization when it comes to strikers, we might have, instead of forking out over 10 million quid for Sorloth.

Meanwhile Piatek has gone on to bang in 19 goals in 21 starts in all competitions including 6 in just 2 cup outings.

There is talk Real Madrid are sniffing around and yet there is a story that Palace are in the running. You have to laugh.

We need to unearth the likes of Piatek and get them for under 10 mil from their native country, instead of unearthing a fossilized t*** in Sorloth who failed in Dutch football.

Piatek would be absolutely class but:

A - he is not a big lump target man
B - he would cost sh*t loads
C - he has higher ambitions than Palace by now I would guess

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Danny Owen must be a pen name for Mad Jock McJock

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

What a ridiculous article, starting off with Palace should buy this player, lot of waffle, then doubt he would come to Palace.
HITC is just a media filler, absolute crap, I doubt if any of their content has a grain of truth.

And he’s off to Milan.

I am sure he would have picked Palace over AC Milan.....

Hardy har.

34 grand a week!

Good grief, no wonder players want to come to the premier league. 30 million quid and he is on way less than Jeff Schlupp.

Great business from Genoa though, massive profit in no time at all.

Oh for a good scouting department.

This is what I've been always saying. And people were always questioning me of how do I know x or y player would want to come to Palace?

What are you claiming credit for here?

What Maine Eagle said above, that most players want to come to the PL. Imagine that a top club like Milan offers only a 35.000 a week salary to their star player. Their other salaries are 20.000 or 15.000.

Who has questioned that? Surely it is a no-brainer that players would want to go where the money is - although are the two figures comparable, or are there different player image rights rules?

I have questioned your valuations of players, which seem way off (Gayle £5 million, E. Sala for less than £10 million) but there is no argument on salaries.

I don't think I've ever said we could get Gayle for 5 million. I talked about him as a solution 1-2 years ago after he had been benched by Newcastle, but his price was around 15 million. About the 5 million....I think you're confusing it with me responding to those who called him "a 5 million striker" as opposed to Benteke "the 50 million pounds one".

Emiliano Sala....there was a time when he cost less than 10 million pounds, not too long ago:

Well, a few months ago, referring to this window, you said:

EMILIANO SALA... I can see them accepting a bid of even less than 10 million! Looks very strong and tough.

Although it is a more general point. I think your valuations are often a little light. Not that I am particularly bothered. I enjoy reading your suggestions, just not your "I'm always right" propaganda.

Well, from when I made that statement, Emiliano Sala (may he rest in peace) went on to score 4 more Ligue 1 goals taking his total from 8 to 12 and going to 5th top goalscorer position, behind Mbappe, Cavani, Neymar and Nicolas Pepe.

This made his value jump a little. And the final price paid by Cardiff to Nantes was 15 million, not that much higher.
