He only played for them once and spent most of his playing time with the Palace development team so it was a waste of time

Probably the latter. I would think the plan was a year's loan but obviously a productive one. Clearly it isn't because he's turned oit to belong in the first team.

The report I read said his loan expired. Either way I am closer to first team action than he is.

Loaned out under the "we continue to pay their wages providing you give them first team minutes" programme of last summer, which clearly wasn't happening.

I’d seen his U23 goal record isn’t bad this season but clearly Orient don’t think him good enough. The few occasions I’ve seen him play he always shows potential, just a shame he never seems to make that step up. Didn’t realise we were still paying his wages though so makes sense to find him a better option. Could possibly even be a ‘make weight’ in a transfer from a lower league club.

When is a loan not a loan? He was on Orient’s bench as an unused sub against Chesterfield on 1st September and in the next game against Solihull Moors he came on in the 90th minute and that’s it. He only joined them on 30th August. They must have decided pretty quickly he wasn’t needed. Since then all his football has been played in our U23s side.
