Yet again we appear to have left it too late! Abrahams and Defoe both gone elsewhere! Two players that we probably never wanted in the first place. The only player we know that we wanted and has gone elsewhere (at a big price) is injured for 4-12 weeks, depending on who you believe.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

And that is 4-12 weeks plus fitness, plus Roy’s where do you fit in my system time, which all adds up to a minimum of probably 2 months and potentially as long as 4 months. For a second half of season loan that really don’t leave a lot of playing time! Defoe we probably didn’t want anyway despite the rumours and I’m not really sure we wanted Abraham either. If we miss out on Batshuyai I’ll be more disappointed but to be honest there are not many who are available that you can get excited about. Maybe Origi, but he still never proved himself at the bin dippers and certainly not Niasse the cheating scumbag.
