Made his debut for CAFC this afternoon, as a 68th minute substitute. Well done him.

Hope he does ok for Charlton, in a parallel universe the shot against Brighton in the playoff semi against Brighton goes in instead of just wide. He then goes on to play 200+ games for Palace in a Fabrgas type roll before a £60 million move to a top European side. Feel he could have been that good

He's the one that got away. The season we went up he was simply outstanding.

He played 12 games for Sunderland last year, probably his most productive loan spell. The Rosey tints on this site boggle the mind. Even had geezers advocating Hodgson as an excellent England manager the other day. Palace delusion syndrome lol

I love Crystal Palace and have until recently attended every away game we play. This season has taken a bit of a back seat due to family commitments, but I've still managed 2 home games and 4 away. I have never said I hate Crystal Palace or any player or manager. I remain objective: I'm honestly not bothered whether people respect my opinion or not and take all personal attacks as a sign that my point of view has challenged people's thinking which is a good thing. When this happens I never descend into name calling and only respond with humour. Whether it's taken as such isn't something I can control. Interestingly, I've received several private messages commending my posts, one asking if I have a twitter account as they feel I'll be chased out soon by the 'clique' and want to follow my opinions. I've also received some nasty private messages which I'm big enough to ignore and not report. Sticks and stones and all that. It's a shame that a small minority attempt to shut down debate and freedom of opinion by throwing insults and demeaning posts because they don't agree. Having followed this site as a non member for years it was the driving force to join: a different voice to challenge the status quo.

I saw him 'burst' onto the scene and never understood the fawning. He was good, but always took/needed a lot of time on the ball which was never going to cut it at a higher level. He had some potential nearly a decade ago and was unlucky with injuries. That said, to be happy to sit in our reserves for YEARS doesn't deserve respect nor does it show ability. No premier league manager, and we've had a few very experienced ones, fancied him. He should've gone years ago and didn't. He's not stayed for the love of the club, anybody able to play professional football wants to do just that: he's stayed for the salary. Yet another idiotic post from this so called Palace fan! Joniesta loves Palace & was with us for 17 yrs & has alot of affection for the club, he will still come to watch matches when he can. I wouldn't say I know him well but i've met him many times & from talking to him you can tell how much the club means to him. Its such a shame he is injury prone because if he wasn't I truely believe he could of had a great career with Palace & Wales. To say he had shown some potential about 10 years ago is yet another stupid thing you have said & didn't you see how well he played for Wales in the Euros which was only 3 years ago. He was also our 2nd best player in the cup match against Swansea this season! He wasn't happy just playing in the reserves for years,he wanted to get his head down work hard & try to become a Palace regular but unfortunatley his body wasn't up to it! I really pity your Wife having to listen to the constant crap which comes out of your mouth!

As Williams is no longer a Palace player any future discussion should take place in Football Talk.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |
