I think Andy Burham's words may have been misconstrued because I read what he said and I have a different take. I think he was trying to reassure the public that the incident was over and that it was not the start of a Mumbai type attack where you had multiple terrorists attacking multiple targets across that city over several hours. Granted his words are open to interpretation so I can see why people have have taken a different meaning to what I did but I think he meant it's over (for now). Anyway that was my take.

I'm not wondering whether "mental health" is going to be the new default excuse to ignore this behavior going forwards whether or not the person is known to the mental health services. To be fair Islamic extremism does manifest itself as an extreme mental illness. Feels like our leaders continue to take the cowardly way out though by finding any way possibly to excuse or ignore this (turn the other cheek). Tolerance only flows one way it seems.
