How many since 92

Well I don't recall there ever being a Man Utd squad without at least one academy graduate in the side (either starting XI or bench). From the current youth team it looks like Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood are all close to breaking through.

Crystal Palace do have decent youngsters too. I'd love to see Will Donkin do well but can't really comment on his progress cos I don't watch the youth team, and only really know about his progress at international level where he's already become Taiwan's star player by the age of 17.

Remaining in the prem is success. Remember when charlton supporters believed they were a bigger club than they were in reality. Kicked on by sacking Curbs consequently dropping like a stone and sinking without a trace.

We fans need to be pragmatic and look at the long view. We are unlikely to turn into a top 6 side look how muchit has cost west ham, 100 mil, its worked for now but well who knows.
so becareful what you wish for.

We have an academy. How many of those will make it? Or even given the chance? AWB came in through injury to others, and look how incredible he has been! Southampton have done the same, grow talent and then let them go for pence. See a pattern?

We do have an academy but it is only level 2. To really compete this needs to be a level 1 as this will not only improve Elite Player Performance Plan funding from the EPL but also make us make more attractive to potential trainees.

There was a good article in the Indy a few days back which looks at the incredible catchment area South London is & the emerging talent from it - Gomez, Sancho, RLC etc. We need to be catching these before they get swept up by the other Cat 1's.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Come the end of every season we have been many points safe, no reason as far as I can see to worry about not achieving the same this season, we need to understand we are small fish in a rather large pond, danger lurks if we rush about in it.

Some of us need to take a chill pill.

I tend to agree, although the Prem is a small pond of big fish.

This is our most successful season so far, bar the Pardew season. In the recent past, only Norwich and Blackpool have been relegated with more points at this stage of the season than we have. We need to be grateful for small mercies.

I wonder if thats why Parish has bought them their own training ground.

Completely agree. There are numerous clubs in the Championship (and below) that would be considered bigger clubs than Palace, clubs that have spent longer in the top division than Palace.

We should all enjoy it whilst it lasts.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

We need to get away from this mentality of being a small fish in a big pond.

Just had a glance at the league table, and without doing proper research, there are only about 7 or 8 teams that have been in that league continuously since we've been there.

Our feet are well and truly under the table, and the investment should reflect that.

Liverpool, Man.U, Man.C, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal big fish, everyone else small.
