I can’t disagree with any of these suggestions however a more recent one that was the trigger for its current position is Kevin Phillips pen vs Watford and the subsequent block off the line (I cant remember who)

The first promotion to the top league winning 3-2 in a come-back v Fulham was my first real high with Palace.

The match versus Wrexham in May 77 - clinching promotion for Palace. I did not watch it, but listened to the BBC world service far north - the radio fading and coming back-fading again and coming back - so exciting as Palace managed the win in injury time.

Great thread. There have been so many over the years, my life supporting Palace has run in tandem to my personal life with various ups and downs, false starts, disappointments and the odd success. All the normal big Palace games spring to mind, many of which have already been mentioned. Guess I would add Blackburn in the playoffs as well as coming back to draw 3 each with the bin dippers. For me it's all about the friends and family. Going along as a young lad with my Grandad. I remember the first game I took my own son to which was of the proudest moments of my life. I remember my first game after the death of my grandad. Funny the things that stick in your mind. There have been as many downs as there have ups but isn't that life, it's certainly been entertaining. Sorry about the ramble, it's Christmas and I'm feeling emotional. What a great post. You are so lucky to have these memories. My neighbour took me to me first game with my brother back in the sixties. I was at Wembley v Man U and my cousin told me he was in the next block. In his eighties. The steward let me across to see him. That for me was also emotional. What a moment. Just before kick off. Hadn’t seen him for over 20 years.

Nicola Ventola putting us 2-1 up at home to Southampton and what seemed the entire ground singing his name to Verdi's La Donna e Mobile on the spur of the moment while the rest of the team mobbed him. then Higginbottom equalised which has already been noted on the 'worst moment' thread

Beating Fulham 3-2 to win our first promotion to the top flight in April 1969. Even then we nearly screwed that up by going 0-2 down in the first half.
