cricket? ok to play as a kid, but watching as an adult? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It isn't for everyone as it's quite a complex game and not suitable for those with short attention spans either

Football is a game with almost continuous action, whereas cricket has action for....if a quick pace bowler is in their stride about half a second at a time.

They both make different demands of the participants and the spectators.....Both great sports and nothing like each other.

I used to hate rugby but grew in to it as i got older, now have no problem watching it on tv, the international games anyway, so maybe in time i will get cricket to,maybe in retirement, when you have time kill, but a good game to play as a kid for sure!

Now that we've got the sarcastic retorts out of the way - try going to a test match or even a popular 20/20 and see what the atmosphere is like, especially with the Barmy Army in full flow
