I didn't say he was as good as Wilf simply that I don't see what he is doing wrong to justify the abuse he gets on this site. I would argue that AWB has been poor in a couple of games (and very good in many others) but Schlupp is a useful squad player who filled in at various roles last season to good effect and has been OK (coming on as a sub) this.

Schlupp would be playing in League 1 if he wasn't left-footed. I don't think he should be abused, but he is the epitome of what's wrong with our squad: £12 million + 55k p/w for an infuriatingly mediocre player.

Yes we were poor but still a freak result. I was standing about 12 rows back behind the goal and clearly saw that their first goal shouldn't have been a penalty and the corner from which they scored their second should have been a goal kick as Murray was the last person to touch the ball. Both incidents are clearly shown on the highlights.

He was definitely elevated by being at Leicester at a special time, but even so I remember him being poor for them.

He has also turned out of Ghana on many occasions and they are no exactly sh&&&.

Good shout though, Jeff Schlupp for that money and on those wages is criminal really. If we had a good scouting setup we could have found a player abroad for half that.......alas, we have scouts and a club who think its a good idea to sign the likes of Rakip and Jach.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I just want to forget about this match and move on. Three points against Spam would help.

Did not go to the game but everyone I have spoken to says we were sh1te.

What is not opinion is the pen is clearly wrong. All games ebb and flow and who is to say we would not have come into the game.

Second decision is Murray playing for a pen and would have been incredibly harsh for a minor push. Not a corner and I think people are right in that the ref just gives it as compensation.

Tomkins had a nightmare:-

- collides with a palace before the pen
- loses his man at the corner
- defends badly for the third but just as AWB is going to provide cover, kicks the ball which allows their mug to have a free shot

I am not defending how poor we were but there were some killer blows in the game.

Spot on. I am still unsure why he was brought by Sam when we also brought PVA at the same time on the left. Suspect he felt that this was a very weak area of the team and Tekkers was firing then. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but pool this money, Sorloth and this is about the cash you really need to be spending to attract the required potential but that obviously doesn't guarantee success.

To be fair to him he was never going to win a race with Andone on the wing. AWB would of though. Andone is definitely one that has got away. The goal reminded me of Tekker's best goal at Selhurst, unfortunately that was for Villa !!

Correct. We can only hope that we get the rub of the green in the return at Selhurst in relation to decisions.

It's typical f***ing Palace to follow a performance like the one against Burnley with the polar opposite against oposition that the fans so desperately want to beat.
There is definite cause for concern that we cannot compete with mid-table teams. Last year we were beating them or getting a draw at worst. This year we are not even giving them a game when they go a man down.
It pains me to say it, but should we be giving more credit to Brigton?

It was typical of Palace to have officials who helped Brighton in a stadium and at a time where they needed no help, before the penalty we were holding Brighton well and causing them problems, no one will ever know what result could have been achieved by us when removing a Murray penalty and a chaotic corner.
Murray was never going to miss that penalty and the defending of the corner was bad, but, our defenders were rightly preparing for a goal kick and not for a corner and one against a team which had just been forced to make changes, changes that also mean our defenders have to reorganise for ..we didn't but it was understandable in the circumstances that the officials created.
