But back in those days he'd come in the Palace bar and chat with fans with his half of Stella. Whatever, Vince is a Palace legend. Wilf, I think has more confidence than Vince and maybe that gives him the edge. Dunno really but I hope he realises his best way to attract a big club (unlike Everton) is to excel at Palace. For a first post I’d say that pretty good mate Agree with every word.

Both are legends for Palace because of the heartache they induced upon Brightscum, however with Vince and the rest of the team of the eighties it was always what could and should have been. Mind you Wilf hasn't featured on a chart hit song yet has he?

Zaha is by far the better player. Vince never really fulfilled his potential and became something of a journeyman in the end. I don't think he had that mixture of confidence / arrogance that would have made a difference to his game. He was great to watch in the FA Youth Cup winning teams and his first couple of seasons in the first team, but Wilf has done better and for longer.
