A Remainer government would simply continue as it is now without any of these problems.

Many of our problems are due to successive ''Remainer'' govts.
Continuation has proven to be the wrong path.

It's the obsession with being "in the centre". No conviction politicians any more.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

This is all based on the assumption that the UK authorities decide to impose customs checks thus causing a back log. We could just waive these checks in the short term until we are ready to implement a more robust process. in other words no visible change from today.

There are always options if you want them. But I guess a Remainer government would prefer to cause chaos and then tell us "we told you so".

Yes. That would go well

I wonder what would happen the moment people realise there are no controls in place

Good point apart from the austerity that is happening is a right wing policy.
Trying to reduce debt and get a little bit put aside.
The left is to borrow till you are so in debt you go round in circles.
Sadly it was the left who created the need for the hard austerity package.
Never mind though it will all be ok when JC gets in to power!!!!
We can 'share' the wealth and all be poor.

The EU is simply a failing economic system and we are better off out of it.

I expect the whole thing to collapse in the coming years and we have a chance not to be dragged down with it.

Partly but the point was about convictiin politics
Tory is about saving and labour is about spending.
And the money for the banks was never going to be spent anyhow.
That was the slush fund built up after labour left us totally broke.
