Apologies if my post upset some of you. Firstly I should say at large not just spectators ar grounds, women are now fully involved and welcomed. Secondly in response to not wishing scudamore a golden handshake, I should say if someone helps you grow a business and through their endevours they make you super rich then someone asks for a small hand out to reward them and your response is that’s a load of rubbish no way, well then you are a super mean son of a gun and didn’t deserve your riches in the first place. Luckily for Scudamore I think you will find most club owners will happily drop him less than a months salary for most of their strikers.

If you believe the Telegraph, they claim the payment was made to dissuade him from taking a role at a foreign league (i.e La Liga) and propelling them to the top of the food chain in regards to TV deals. Let him go and do it and take another league to the top of the food chain. I won’t care, the Prem owners obviously do. Well 7 of them always will, some of the others kid themselves they will.

The Premier League is the most exciting league in the world with the bottom teams thinking they can still beat the top teams. You don't see that type of football in other leagues which is why the PL is loved around the world. Or put it another way is it easier to sell a Ferrari to a rich man or to sell him an SUV whilst telling him its a Ferrari?

The bottom La Liga teams would pass around the dross in the bottom half of the Prem no bother and the Bundesliga teams are tactically better as well with young, innovative coaches

This is the PL reasoning, that Scudamore is a threat to PL dominance of football on TV globally. La Liga is two or three teams, two of which do their own TV deals I believe. I agree with Henry Winter Not the case now. They saw the light and copied us by going down the collective bargaining route in their last TV deal.

In my opinion Scudamore or anyone else cannot overtake the premier as the number1 global league. It pains me to say it but Manure and the Bindippers and to a smaller extent Arsenal have a far larger appeal/following than the likes of Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern etc. Fans know the likes of Palace, Southampton, Burnley because they are opponents of Man u and Liverpool. These guys had huge support way before the EPL was invented.
