I used to. I first worked there in 1991. How’s that for balls? Edited by Mapletree (07 Nov 2018 10.54pm) There is a big difference between working somewhere and living somewhere. I've worked in Edinburgh, Seattle & Charlotte but I wouldn't say working somewhere for a month or two is upping sticks.

Yes there is. But I worked there for years, albeit weekend commuting. And I see your Edinburgh, Seattle & Charlotte and raise you too many to list in literally dozens of countries. Sometimes staying for months, sometimes weekend commuting and often in hardship postings. I even did Warrington.

That chap has no black heritage as far back as he can trace. He was victimised because of his appearance as a child and subsequently embraced it. The hardships faced by people of colour through discrimination is the basis for allowances made to compensate for this, and the reason that white people are deemed unqualified to put themselves in the shoes of non-whites. This case somewhat undermines that concept and highlights the lack of help for working class white people even when their tribulations are equal. This is an isolated case though. Most people proclaim their .01% of whichever heritage so they can be offended.
