This post has been merged from a topic called 'European super league' by bexleydave This has been in the pipeline for years, what are people’s thoughts? I used to be dead against such an idea but now not so much.

Bye bye mega clubs you wont be missed. A scummy idea from a scummy group of clubs. 11 of them can never be relegated 5 may or may not depending on how much they a*se lick the 11. Sorry I mean 5 could be relagated based on the completely fair structure and rules. Seriously I hope they do go and by go that I mean no FA Cup, League Cup or Premier League. First season their fans will love it "we're playing Real Madrid this week, next week its Bayern Munich" Football fans in this country have been brought up on the premise that they are entitled to dream. If your club is currently 92nd you have the right to dream that one day you will reach the PL. This proposal is a kick in the teeth for every football fan and I don't believe it will happen. Its a negotiating position for the big boys to extract concessions from UEAFA. My guess is that the big 11 really want automatic selection for the Champions League. If that is what they are after then UEFA should tell them to walk.

The best way of stopping this is if the supporters of the clubs that qualify for the Champions League and Europa League boycott these matches. If this article is true all the teams are interested in is getting more money from EUFA & their domestic organisation (FA) by threatening them in this way. It very much has the way of someone suggesting to the media he may leave to get more money from the club he plays for.
The pyramid to beat all pyramids!! Find out what team is in which division, eg which division is Coppull United in? |
