In terms of strange reasons for relegation, this would be right up there.

The Football Association has written to a number of non-league clubs warning they will be relegated if they do not make their dressing rooms larger.

Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season?

Typical FA the words brewery and up p*ss spring to mind.

I can't find the evidence but I remember a journalist pointing out that when the FA talks about the millions it spends on grass roots football they are being economical with the actuality as a civil certain once said.

For most of us grass roots means Sunday morning football, schools football, down your local park etc.

Apparently a large percentage of the grass roots funding actually goes to the semi professional clubs in the 5th and 6th tier. Now I am not complaining because they should receive support but that is not the same thing as providing local facilities for amateur teams.

As always the money never quite trickles down to where it is needed.
