I can't believe the negativity that's coming out. I thought we moved the ball really well against Wolves and also against Bournemouth second half. We've just been a bit unlucky not to get a goal. The last 2/3 goals have been conceded by defensive mistakes (2 by PVA and 1 by Sakho IMO). If we were getting beat 2 or 3 nil then I'd be worried. We're definitely short of sharpness/quality up front and rely heavily on Zaha but hopefully Ayew or Benteke will come good or perhaps Wickham will return or we buy someone else in January. I don't think going out paying 30m on another striker is the way to go especially after the Benteke goal drought. So,I'm certainly not hitting the panic button. I believe Roy knows what he's doing and is bedding in the new players and he will soon find the shape that works best for us. We live and die by our chance creation. This is nowhere near as good as it was last season even when Roy first came in so naturally it is reasonable to suggest we're not playing well. Any team can pass it around sideways and backwards in front of a block like we did vs Wolves, so what? We did very little with it and deserved to lose due to our lack of invention. This isn't down to bad luck like last season when we were playing well and losing, this is down to us having all the threat of an Italian in a tank and having key players far from their best under a manager who doesn't know his best or most effective team

Genuinely laughable! Are you seriously implying it makes no difference who we play? Games against the big boys will often involve us parking the bus and trying to hit on the break. Sometimes that will work, more often than not it will not. You keep your head in the sand, maybe we'll talk again once we've completed games against all the teams If you find my response genuinely laughable what do you make of your own opening statement "given the incredibly easy fixture list"? You're making an incredible statement which I've countered. At what point did I imply that it makes no difference who we play? I said there're no easy games in the premier league. I stand by that. Whether we play Man City or Cardiff both will bring a different dynamic that we'll have to overcome. Neither will be easy. Why have you told me to take my head out the sand when I implicitly said it isn't in the sand and I fully recognise our current failings? Do you read posts or just a couple of lines and then jump to conclusions?
