With the 100 anniversary of the end of WW1;

Purchase your genuine poppy/Cpfc pin direct from the Royal British Legion Shop on line , not from the market or some dodge guy in the pub. See link

Good call I will buy one.

There is a chap at London Bridge station who sells poppies and has raised hundreds of thousands over the years I think he got an OBE for his charity work. Anyway he started selling football pins,I have a Palace one, until the authorities put the boot in. I assume this was a trademark issue so it is good that the Premier League are back on board.

This chap is a Millwall fan and loved to sell the West Ham poppy pin. My Millwall mates gleefully showed me with a magnifying glass that the pins contains the result of the "mothers day massacre" when Millwall beat West Ham 4-1.

Thanks for this news. Many local lamp-posts have poppies attached. These were put up 100 days before 11th November.

I will be volunteering again this year to sell poppies normally at Bromley South station. I also spend a lot of time in Lewisham. The difference between the 2 high streets is significant. Bromley normally covers the lampposts and trees with massive poppies. There will be loads of poppy sellers up and down the high street and most of the shops will have a donation jar. In M&S there will be a mini riot as the old gals queue up to buy poppies from the distinguished old vets smartly dressed with their medals. They make more in an hour than I do in my entire shift and good luck to them.

In Lewisham you would hardly know it is going on. I think the local politicians pay lip service to it. The older residents will remember those who served and also the suffering of the people during the war when the docks were repeatedly bombed.

I don’t know why people can’t just wear a poppy. Why the need to have a football crest attached to it?

If they are out of stock on the Poppy Shop they should be available in and around the stadium during the Poppy Appeal (like the previous 2 years)
