Soon to be 27 year old (not very young, I admit), 1,85 in height, msking him an agile and fast striker, but also capable of playing centre forward. This guy has been playing in Qatar. I've liked his playing for a long time, but I didn't have the guts to suggest him yet because he was playing in a lowly football and I wasn't sure if he could make the step up to a high level competition such as the Premier League.

He had an unbelievable rate even before, with 39 goals in 29 matches in the last 2 years in the league, only 5 of those from penalties, the rest from open play (best striker in the Middle East by far).

But what's amazing is that in 2 matches this season (180 minutes) he has scored 10 goals already!! I've never seen anything like this in a professional league in the last 20 years. Sure, the Qatari league is not the most professional one, I'd put it somewhere arounf League One or League Two level in England and he wouldn't be able to keep up the rate of more than 1 goal per match in the Premier League, but he wouldn't completely stop scoring either. I think he could score at around 150 or 200 minutes in the PL on average. Considering that the Qatarese would sell for a rather small figure of around 3 million, this guy would really come in handy for a lot of teams which would be willing to take the bet. But I don't know how many people are actually aware of his exploits in the Qatari league.

If Palace had someone to look at these type of pleyers and compare them to what there already is in England at the same value (but about 3 or 4 times more expensive), then surely the transfer windows would be better and the club would further develop, not just fight against relegation year after year and stagnate.

He has also faired well for the ALgeria national team, 5 goals in 500 minutes played, though the opoonents weren't high level. Yes, he was always second to Slimani, who we know didn't really adapt in the Premier League. And the question arises: how could his substitute adapt if the Algeria national team starting striker couldn't? Well, for one, Slimani didn't really play much in the Premier League because of competition with Jamie Vardy and when he did, he wasn't very bad. If you just look at his number of matches you could say that he just scored 8 goals in 39. But he actually came on very little in many games and only played 1600 minutes. Add 5 assists to that and you have a players who scored and assisted 13 times in 1600 minutes. Not bad! But he did cost 30 million+ and had huge wages, reason for which Leicester didn't keep him. Also, he has been starter for Algeria's national team because he made a name for himself as goalscorer in Europe, in the Portuguese league, at a high level. So it was hard to pick Bounedjah ahead of him even though he scored a lot in Algeria or Qatar. And, Slimani is 3-4 years older, so he had his time before Bounedjah.

I, for one, would seriously consider this player. Salaries are high in Qatar, but not higher than in the PL. And clubs there would ask for decent sums considering what PL clubs charge (even those in League One)
