Have to disagree with the general tone - he put in a good shift v Spurs though was often isolated, for the goal I thought all three were guilty of ball watching, the ball popped up in between the three of them, the player goalside facing the ball going up the field had 'right of way' if you like, and that would be ayew, but I thought there was as much chance of all three going for it and colliding, the spurs kid did very well to take advantage of an accidental piece of group hesitation. I'm glad we didn't spend 8 or 9mil on Ayew, but I didn't notice any lack of effort v Spurs, Meyer going backwards had more to do with his not being left-footed and Spurs' shape for me, rather than Ayew not giving him an option, Townsend and PVA are just as responsible for that.
