Wilf and Andros up front again with that extra midfield position given to Meyer to play as the number 10 Dynamite

The Andros/AWB relationship has been one of the few highlights this season. I would go with Ayew and Wilf if Roy sticks with 442, as Andros has the energy to get up and down the pitch and is happy to allow the AWB overlap. I think Roy has hoping the same would happen with Schlupp and PvA, but that relationship doesn't appear to have quite clicked (partly because Schlupp doesn't seem to have the same energy levels as Andros).

We got a couple of results with Wilf and Andros up top, and I certainly wouldn't say that we have to have a target man in every single game, but a lot of teams press the ball high these days, and as tidy as Tompkins, Sakho, Jimmy Mac and Luka can be on the ball, they don't have what it takes to play through a coordinated press. In such circumstances we need to at least have the option to by-pass the opponent, and expose the spaces they leave when they play high. That means either you play the ball behind their defence for a pacey runner (this is why Wilf was moved up top I believe), or if you can't do that, you do then next best thing by dropping the ball over the opponents midfield. That's very often a high ball to either the head or the chest, and so you do need a target man. Nice to think we could play like Liverpool and Man City, but in the real world anyone managing Palace needs to pick a side with one eye on our strengths, but the other very much on what we can't do. Remember Frank De Boer anyone?

think we all want a change, Roy maybe looks more at the work TEKE does in defence than what he is not doing up front, but thats not helping us,

Midfield LM-Meyer CM-Milivojevic CM-Kouyate RM-McArthur Attack Zaha Ayew Townsend could feasibly play in either Jimmy Mc or Ayew's place but I think that is how we should line up against Huddersfield.

Thinking back to Hodgson's other managerial stints in England he has always had big, powerful strikers in his teams and the focal point of his attack. At Liverpool he had Andy Carroll, at WBA Marc-Antoine Fortune and Roman Bednar and at Fulham Brian McBride and Bobby Zamora.Probably others as well.

Hear what you say Willo, but I think the game has moved on and fluidity around the box ie: Man City and Liverpool, seems to be the way forward. I think we have the players to play like that. Will Roy see it that way though.

Having looked at Sorloth's "WAG" I can now see why he always looks so stiff. Meanwhile Tekker's missus is obviously a Palace fan by her expression. I was going to mention Wickham, but I was talking about wives and girlfriends of footballers and that poor kid is going to grow up thinking his Dad works as a laboratory rat.
