Few of us imagine, surely, that the press is not subject to censorship.

In our daily lives however we still can speak freely.

It is a question of degree, not of one against the other.

That's only due to reach.

If what you said could reach millions......suddenly you'd find that it mattered.

This is about the establishment protecting its narratives and control.

Something the left use to be against until they became the power base in the institutions.

Fair point. This is the main issue I have with this little triumvirate of snipers. I'd often much rather debate the subject matter rather than the binary, over simplified notion of left or right, which then becomes distracting and bias inducing and prevents interrogating the topic itself. Which is the interesting part. Not s*** slinging, which does no-ones intellect any favours.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

Because it's hyprocrisy.

It's implicitly saying.....'I believe in equality......except for those instances in which equality stops me doing well personally'.

Didn't you yourself point to the far left corporations being hypocrites on tax earlier.

It's pick and choose equality.......not that I believe in equality anyway outside of opportunity.....it's a BS and massively destructive concept.

'far left corporations?'

wow that's a new variation for you.

Variations on a theme by Paganini Stirling.

So Jeremy Corbyn is now a right wing demagogue, I will have to adjust somewhat to this !!!!

I can't believe I'm in a conversation with people who think that the silicon valley companies aren't far left.

Perhaps they should send an email to James Damore.

Serves you right for engaging with the HOL's very own Chuckle Brother.

What is a social conscience.
Because if this social conscience is the want of creating a socialist environment of bringing the so called wealth gap closer then you can make the money yes. Then it will be taken from you and shared out equally to people who can't be arsed to.

Definitely not.

Mrs Thatcher's own appraisal of the economy in her premiership was that 'there were winners and there were losers'

Mrs Thatcher was ousted by a sharp recession which brought her economic policies into a different light.

She said that her Chancellor (Lawson) had messed it up and must fix it.

That never happened and I guess that's where blaming Brussels for all our ills began.

With Margaret Thatcher.
