In April Ukip had 21,200 paying members...at mostly 30 quid a pop. It's now nearer 30, 000.

It's growing and it's back......and with a soft Brexit it's going to start making a difference.

If those numbers are true then why did you completely underplay the % increase?

Underplay? Access to information......I know what the figures were for April....I know that that Ukip stated a five percent increase on their twitter after May's announcement.....I also know Ukip gained roughly five thousand in June when Sargon, Dank and Watson joined...but I don't know precisely how many.

So I made a conservative guess.

You might not agree with me, but I try to tell the truth as I know it....so there you go.

Watching who is America, the new show from Sacha Baron Cohen got me thinking about the whole left/right thing. He got these right wing republican politicians doing the most extreme things under somewhat false pretenses but in line with their political beliefs. I'm sure that he could do the same with left wing politicians too. Politics is pretty questionable but watching a show like this really makes you wonder.

Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping.

I saw the first episode.....I have to admit, I was impressed.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Yep, even though our families fought and died fighting them we are apparently reinventing 30s Germany just because we are a bit nationalist and believe in things like our own culture being dominant in our own bloody country.

I'm sure the show is funny as I Love Sacha Baron Cohen. The trouble is, picking these eccentric characters gives many people in the UK the impression that all Republicans are like that and it's not the case.

Having lived in California, there are lots of whacko left wing Democrats and supporters but there never seems to be any UK coverage on them. You only ever hear about the rednecks, which is lazy journalism and film making.
