Couple of quotes from Fulham forum that made me smile : As an afterthought, facing a Roy team which you knew was going to be extremely well organized, was always going to be difficult with a patch work team. If you mixed the two starting elevens, most would have been Fulham. bet we spank them next time round. Agree From what I saw I think we’ll be fine, we won’t win as many games as last season obviously, but I’d rather get to that magical 40 point mark playing Slav style rather than Roy style because it’ll be much more entertaining.

Looks like the Cottagers (an unfortunate epithet) are going head-to-head with the Weed for most deluded supporters of the season
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I like Fulham and they will probably do ok, eventually, but I expect Spurs will beat them and then they will have to face Burnley at Craven Cottage. If they think we are boring then wait until they get a load of that. That will be very tough for them. We will see if their optimism survives being zero points from three games. Game 4 for them is Brighton so I back them to get 3 points there!

Funny that we got double their shots on target then... Stay in your lane Fulham. Anyone can pass it about in the Championship, come back to us when you put 8 past a team like Leicester

Think they need to get a few more games under their belt before they start spouting s*** like that.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Second goal v Fulham' by bexleydave I have watched this on the extended Sky highlights many times now, and it must be one of the best team goals I have ever seen Palace score, and I have been watching since 1962. Sakho makes a tackle and the ball breaks to Van Anholt, facing his own goalline with two players near him. He turns well, passes to Sakho who first times it to Schlupp, who instantly finds Townsend, despite again being closed down quickly. Townsend finds Benteke, who has tracked back well into his own half. He turns, looks up, and sends a ball right across the pitch to Wan Biassaka. He shrugs off Mitrovic, falls over, gets up, beats Sessegnon, threads a wonderful pass through to Wilf, who takes an excellent first touch then sends it under the goalkeeper and into the net. Left back to right wing, 12 seconds, 6 passes, just fabulous. If it was Manchester City it would be in the running for goal of the season.

That goal against Leicester is one of the best team (or any) goals I've seen from Palace. Lightening quick passing and lovely finish from Wilf. Reminded me a bit of Shearer's against Holland in Euro 96.
